My Fluval 305 Canister Filter has occasional set of bubbles coming out the ''Out pipe'' into the tank..
Ive just started it up today, had it for about 5 months and switched back
to the external again. l have ''primed'' it quite a bit using the instant
prime lever...bubbles came out a bit. When l tip the canister a little
this make bubbles come out the ''Out pipe'' into the tank. The tubes are
not leaking, no water coming out anywhere. Dont have any air stones in the
tank causing air to get it. Where is the air coming from?
You have a leak on the low pressure side (suction side). As the
water is being drawn into the filter, air is pulled in from the unsealed
area.If you turn the unit off, you might find the leak. The most common
leak points are where the tubing connect to the cannister and either a
nicked or mis-aligned o-ring seal..
Check the tightness of the hose coonections and the pump
housing seal.
It is not unusual for it to be drawing in air at a seal without obviously
leaking water.
